So, I know we're going to need a photoshoot soon, but Denisha invited me to a party where we gotta dress like rockstars. Fun, right? 0o0o00o Well that's like a perfect opportunity to take pictures of people looking . . rockstar-y. I know I'm going with black liquid leggings fasho. And maybe a guitar tee. I'm not sure right now, but I knowwww it's going to be funn. When I imagine rockstar I think black with streaks of neon colors. Or cheetah print. On second thought, cheetah print leggings with my studded tee from Forever 21 would be perfect.
Urban Original
Anywho, I found this site via Teen Vogue Magazine, latest issue, of course and I fell in love with its clothing and prices and whatnots. It has a rather small selection, big enough to fill your closet, but not big enough to break your wallet. I guess some of this stuff is really "Urban" but lets have a looksie at what is.
Well, I'm going to say tops are just not their specialty, so let's skip to their selection of denim which is 99% skinny.
Every single on of these pieces of distressed denim are under 30$. As you can see there's like three types of distress we have going on here, the first one looks like it got attacked by dog and acid rain, but still ends up looking pretty good. The second one looks like it got attacked by a much smaller dog. The shorts were obviously attacked by a cheese-grater.
High waisted skirts, ftw. So the first two are under 30$ ! They both have big bows on the front, and they're both very Audrey Hepburn. Like, Breakfast in Tiffany status. The first one comes in beige, and I really liked that one better but for some reason it didn't show up. Well, the beige one looked like less of a tennis skirt. The second one has that office type of feel, because it's not wide and its cut just above the knee. The last two are under 20$. It's like stealing, honestly. The one with the studs would go great with a blazer type of thing. I think it's another office type skirt, but still looking cute. Got your eye on your boss? Just kidding. The third one comes in that color (green), red, and pink. I like the green one because it's not as bright as the other ones. This type of skirt is really bouncy, and it's floral print, MMM FLORALS.
Uhmm , guess what? We are still under 30$!! The first one, what's a good dress without a belt to compliment it (same for the last one, I suppose) ? Its a pretty cute cocktail dress for going out to buy a drink or just dancing. The second one is military-style, I think this one's good for going to formal parties because it's not one of those out-there looks, but it's not just a boring LBD , right? The third one is really cute, high-waisted skirt, but it's actually a dress. I think it'd look better without a belt, but you can wear it however you want. I advise something to cover up -- a cardigan or a scarf, something.
I have to gooo now , which sucks.
Everybody have a good MLK day (;
